Hi, my name is Society Sam and I am the mascot of Society of American Miniaturists. 

 

We are based in Texas but span the country. We are a nonprofit organization committed to the education and promotion of the art and hobby of miniatures. We welcome all miniaturists, artisans and collectors. We strive to increase awareness in miniatures and promote the love of the hobby and art.

 

We meet twice a year - in the Spring for SAM's Birthday Party. The location rotates between Houston, Dallas/ Ft. Worth, Austin, San Antonio and Corpus Christi. And in the Fall, usually the first weekend after Labor Day for the Wonderful Workshop Weekend and business meeting in Temple, Texas.

 

We encourage members to interest the youth of their area by starting children's miniature clubs. We offer funds to help with starting a children's group.
